Sweet Change

The new year always brings with it a pressure of needing to set new goals, create a change and push towards new, new, new.

Novelty brings a wonderful energy and excitement. It is important for us to continuously integrate “new” in our lives. It keeps our vitality flowing and nourished. It lets our soul stay light and young.

But the need to “become” new with every new- year, is hindering. It consists an unnecessary pressure and may entangle us in self-rejection point of view.

Change is a constant movement. It is the movement all around us and within us. It is the vital ocean that we swim in. But the part of our mind, that wants to know, control, and keep everything the same, made us oblivious to it.

Change is the state we are naturally in. All we have to do is to realize we are in it.

And then – we need to learn how to ride on the waves it brings. Every desire is a wave of energy that we have to learn to catch and ride upon, so it may bring us above the wall of some old fears we carry.

Why not take a moment to sense yourself and where you are at right now?

You can do so, by sensing and connecting, with and through your body, to the actual space (and by that to your time- path) that is stretching behind and in front of you. Once you connect to the ever - expanding space around you, you will have a smoother, simpler and clearer connection to the movement of change.

Change is all around you. Once you are aware of and connected to it, you will perceive new choices available to you.

You will know how and what to do, without any stress or pressure.

The sea will call you and your natural ability to respond will reveal to you how to swim with the current of the desirable change.

It is inevitable. If you dare to connect, you can be assured that change is possible and is part of your path.

The problem is that we disconnect ever so often from that space / movement around us.

We then impose different ideas about ourselves and our lives to come, out of past experiences and ideas. Ones that are actually “dead”. Ones that we pull out of our memory instead of sensing and connecting to the ever changing and expanding reality.

The more we manage to connect and feel that space with all of our body, the easier it is to be free for the coming change. The more we can let the current take us. On the other hand, the more we disconnect, run into our minds to search for how we can control life from bringing “bad” things, the stronger the pressure we feel when we crave a change, and the darker it gets for us to see where to go.

Think of something you would like to change and have different in your life.

When you think about it, try to connect to the sensations it provokes in you. In your body.

We often tend to hold on to the wish with effort: how do you hold on to it? How do you tend to “shrink” and harden yourself as well as be aware of how do you disconnect from the space around you?

This effort of holding may be giving you the illusion of control and of being safe. It may be a way of trying to make sure you are not “losing” your wish …. But what you actually do, is trapping it.

A wish needs a space to grow.

That space is what nourishes it. This space is available when you are making sure you sense yourself, your body, in space. When you do not disconnect by drowning in your own emotions, or by insisting on your beliefs and interpretations.

When you keep the sensation of your wish anchored it in your body, while letting it expand, touch and flow into the space around you, you guarantee it’s coming to fruition.

Feel the depth of your chest. The moving space of your chest and how with each breath it changes and interacts with the room you are in.

Pay attention to the space in your belly and bladder area. Feel the movements in those areas and how they can meet the movements of space and air around them.

Allow your head to feel the actual space all around it. A space it does not have “to know”.

By doing so, you will train your head to expand beyond your mind. This is how you can reach a larger and novel clarity about what you can do. This is how you can connect to a stream of knowing that has nothing to do with what was possible in the past.

Feel your back side of your body. Use your breath to encourage movements in the spine.

Try to sense that space behind you through and with your back. Add to it the awareness of the sides of your body. Let your shoulders and arms melt into the space to your right and to your left.

This way of sensing / being, will immediately move you away from any fearful or stressful attitude, and will connect you to natural trust available to you. The trust that is the sea of change around you, that will inevitably bring you to where you want to be (or should be).

This will let you digest fears, hurts and other past troubling residues you stumble upon from your past. It will stop being a road blocker for your desired change.

When you connect to the space and train to breath and let go of any restrictive effort (which is a response to an old fear still react to and give power to), you will start and discover your wishes in a very different way. It will happen step by step, like a cloth sliding and revealing a marvelous piece of art that was covered for years.

Let your wishes swim freely in the sea of life and change. Let yourself immerse in it daily, and you will feel how large your life can be and how sweetly a change can happen.

I wish you a wonderful new year,

Anna
